(a)
- (1) The PERS staff shall have written procedures for dealing with emergencies of clients.
(2) The procedures shall cover:
- (A) Immediate care of the client;
- (B) Ambulance to be called;
- (C) Name or names and phone numbers of physician or physicians;
- (D) Persons to be notified; and
- (E) Reports to be prepared.
(b)
- (1) All PERS staff who provide direct services shall have initial and ongoing training in emergency procedures.
(2) These procedures shall include:
- (A) The name and telephone number of the client's attending physician;
- (B) The client's preference of hospital;
- (C) Names of family members or others to be contacted in case of emergency;
- (D) A listing of any known drug allergies; and
- (E) Any other pertinent medical information which is deemed critical to the care of the client in an emergency.
