As used in this subpart:

1. (1) “Area plan” means an area agency on aging plan of operation which has been approved by the Division of Aging, Adult, and Behavioral Health Services of the Department of Human Services;
2. (2) “Direct care worker” means any person who provides care to a client in a private residence or community (nonnursing facility) setting;
3. (3) “Direct service” means any activity to provide services directly to an older person;
4. (4) “Service provider” means any agency employing direct care workers; and
5. (5) “Subcontractor” means an entity that is awarded a contract from an area agency on aging to provide services under the area plan.
