- (a) The area agencies on aging and subcontractors must have effective procedures which result in the identification of older individuals eligible for services funded by the Older Americans Act, 42 U.S.C. § 3001 et seq., and which informs such individuals of the availability of assistance.
- (b) Particular emphasis must be placed upon individuals with the greatest economic and social need (with particular attention to low-income minority individuals), individuals who reside in rural areas, and individuals with severe disabilities.
