20 CAR § 414-507 – Linens and bedding

(a)
1. (1) A sufficient supply of clean bed linen shall be available at all times.
2. (2) A minimum of two (2) clean sheets and one (1) clean pillowcase shall be provided for each bed on a weekly basis.
3. (3) Linens shall be changed as often as indicated in order to keep the resident:
  1. (A) Clean;
  2. (B) Comfortable; and
  3. (C) Dry.
(b) Each bed shall be covered with a suitable bedspread at least during the hours of the day when the bed is not occupied.
(c)
1. (1) Sufficient blankets shall be provided to ensure the warmth of each resident and shall be laundered as often as necessary to ensure cleanliness and freedom from odors.
2. (2) The blankets shall be individually assigned to residents and not passed indiscriminately to residents without first being laundered.
(d) Table linens shall be laundered separately from bed linen and clothing.
