- (a) The facility shall provide an emergency source of electrical power necessary to protect the health and safety of clients in the event the normal electrical supply is interrupted.
- (b) The emergency electrical power system must supply power adequate at least for lighting in all means of egress, equipment to maintain fire detection, alarm, and extinguishing systems.
- (c) Dry or wet cell batteries may be used as emergency power.
