- (a) The facility shall employ or contract with licensed practical nurses (LPNs) to provide nursing or direct care services to residents.
- (b) LPNs may administer medication and deliver nursing services as provided by Arkansas law or applicable rule.
- (c) The LPN can perform all job functions and duties of a CNA or PCA.
- (d) All LPNs must be licensed by, and in good standing with, the Arkansas State Board of Nursing, and must comply with all requirements, including continuing education, as established by law or rule.
Codification Notes: “CNA” means certified nursing assistant. "PCA" means personal care aide.
