(a) Direct care services directly help a resident with certain activities of daily living such as:
- (1) Assistance with mobility and transfers;
- (2) Hands-on or cuing assistance to a resident to eat meals or food;
- (3) Grooming;
- (4) Shaving;
- (5) Trimming or shaping fingernails and toenails;
- (6) Bathing;
- (7) Dressing;
- (8) Personal hygiene;
- (9) Bladder and bowel requirements, including incontinence; and
- (10) Assistance with medication only to the extent permitted by the state Nurse Practice Act and interpretations thereto by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing.
- (b) The assisted living facility shall ensure the resident receives direct care services in accordance with the services plan portion of the occupancy admission agreement.
(c)
- (1) Direct care services needs of all residents in the facility shall be reviewed at least annually, and the services plan portion of the occupancy admission agreement revised, if necessary.
- (2) Revision of the services plan portion of the occupancy admission agreement shall be revised within fourteen (14) days upon any significant enduring change to the resident.
