1. (a)

   1. (1) Each provider shall locate, install, and maintain in operable condition smoke detectors in each room of the adult day health care.

   2. (2)

      1. (A) Smoke detectors shall be inspected monthly.
      2. (B) Documentation of the monthly inspection shall be kept at the facility.

2. (b)

   1. (1) Fire extinguishers, of the appropriate type as determined in consultation with local fire authorities, shall be installed and maintained in operable condition.
   2. (2) Fire extinguishers shall comply with NFPA 10 requirements.
   3. (3) Fire extinguishers shall be inspected monthly and the inspection results documented.
   4. (4) Fire extinguishers shall be inspected annually by a company/person licensed by the State of Arkansas to provide this service.
