- (a) There shall be illumination in all participant use areas that is appropriate to the uses of the area and the needs of the clients.
- (b) Glare shall be kept at a minimum by providing shades at all windows exposed to direct sunlight.
- (c) Light fixtures shall have shades or globes.
- (d) Extension cords shall not be used.
(e)
- (1) Facilities may utilize transient voltage surge protectors or surge suppressors with microprocessor electronic equipment such as computers or CD/DVD recorders or players.
(2) Any transient voltage surge protectors or surge suppressors must have a:
- (A) Maximum UL rating of three hundred thirty volts (330v); and
- (B) Functioning protection indicator light.
- (3) Facilities may not use transient voltage surge protectors or surge suppressors that do not have a functioning protection indicator light or transient voltage surge protectors or surge suppressors in which the functioning protection indicator light does not light to indicate that the device is functioning.
