20 CAR § 409-606 – Heating and cooling

(a) The heating system shall be in compliance with all state and local codes.
(b) Exposed heating pipes, hot water pipes, or radiators in rooms and areas used by clients shall be covered or protected and insulated when appropriate.
(c) Portable space heaters shall not be used.
(d) Room temperatures shall be maintained between seventy degrees Fahrenheit (70˚ F) and eighty-five degrees Fahrenheit (85˚ F) in all seasons, and the reasonable comfort needs of the individual clients shall be met.
