- (a) At least one (1) toilet and washbowl shall be provided for each ten (10) clients and shall have an additional toilet and washbowl for each five (5) clients over the ten (10) e.g., if the facility has thirty-five (35) licensed slots, the facility shall have four (4) toilets and washbowls.
- (b) At least one (1) toilet room shall be accessible to handicapped persons.
- (c) Toilet rooms shall provide privacy for clients.
- (d) Each toilet room shall be equipped with ventilation approved by the Office of Long-Term Care.
- (e) All toilets shall have grab rails that are securely affixed to walls in such a manner as to support the weight of clients using the rails to raise or lower themselves.
(f) The washbowl shall:
- (1) Be in proximity to each toilet; and
- (2) Have hot and cold running water.
- (g) Hot water temperature will be between one hundred and one hundred fifteen degrees Fahrenheit (100˚ F – 115˚ F).
(h) Individual paper towels, a trash receptacle, soap, and toilet paper shall be:
- (1) Provided at all times; and
- (2) Within reach of the clients.
