- (a) At least three (3) meals are served daily.
(b)
(1) There shall be at least a five-hour span between:
- (A) Breakfast and the noon meal; and
- (B) Noon meal and supper.
- (2) The meals shall be served at approximately the same hours each day.
(c)
- (1) There shall not be more than fourteen (14) hours between a substantial supper and breakfast.
(2) Supper shall include as a minimum:
- (A) Two ounces (2 ozs.) of a substantial protein food;
- (B) A starch (or substitute) or soup;
- (C) A vegetable or fruit; and
- (D) Dessert and a beverage, preferably milk.
(d)
- (1) Bedtime snacks of nourishing quality shall be routinely offered to all patients whose diets do not prohibit the service of this night feeding.
- (2) Milk, juices, cookies, or crackers shall be offered.
