20 CAR § 200-108 – Authority to contract

(a) The Department of Health may contract with another agency of this state or with a private vendor, as necessary, to ensure the effective operation of the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program.
(b) A contractor shall be:
1. (1) Bound to comply with the provisions regarding confidentiality of prescription information as outlined in Arkansas Code §§ 20-7-601 – 20-7-615 and this part; and
2. (2) Subject to the penalties specified in Arkansas Code §§ 20-7-601 – 20-7-615 and this part for unlawful acts.
