Equipment and procedures
Arkansas Code § 20-7-109
(a) Suitability.
(1)
(A) All plant equipment and utensils shall be suitable for their intended use.
(B) This includes all collection and storage tanks, piping, fittings, connections, bottle washers, fillers, cappers, and other equipment which may be used to store, handle, process, package, or transport product water.
(C) In order to minimize the potential for microbiological contamination of the finished product, noncarbonated bottled water shall not be transported, stored, processed, or bottled in or through lines or equipment through which has passed milk, fruit juice, or other food products likely to contribute nutrients for microbial growth.
(2) All product water contact surfaces shall be constructed of nontoxic and nonabsorbent material which can be adequately cleaned and sanitized.
(b) Design. Storage tanks shall be of the type that can be closed to exclude all foreign matter and shall be adequately vented.
