(a)

1. (1) Breast milk may be transferred from one (1) breast milk bank to another upon request.

2. (2) The transferring breast milk bank:

   1. (A) Transfers breast milk from approved donors only; and
   2. (B) Establishes a transfer agreement with the receiving bank.

3. (3) The transferring breast milk bank sends its own donor identification number associated with the breast milk deposits:

   1. (A) Allowing for tracking and recall if a problem occurs; and
   2. (B) Also allowing for protection of the donors' privacy.

(b)

1. (1) Pasteurized breast milk that is transferred to another bank retains its original label indicating where the processing occurred.
2. (2) The recipient bank may add its own label but should not obscure or remove the original label when dispensing.
