- (a) All donated breast milk is identified as relating to a specific approved breast milk donor.
(b) Donated breast milk is:
- (1) Packaged securely with identification visible; and
- (2) Maintained in a frozen state until chosen for processing.
- (c) Logging of incoming breast milk includes estimating the volume of breast milk as well as observing for foreign matter or other sources of contamination such as broken storage containers.
- (d) Breast milk is discarded if contamination is suspected or if foreign matter is present and unable to be extracted without contamination.
