20 CAR § 172-118 – Logging of incoming breast milk

(a) All donated breast milk is identified as relating to a specific approved breast milk donor.
(b) Donated breast milk is:
1. (1) Packaged securely with identification visible; and
2. (2) Maintained in a frozen state until chosen for processing.
(c) Logging of incoming breast milk includes estimating the volume of breast milk as well as observing for foreign matter or other sources of contamination such as broken storage containers.
(d) Breast milk is discarded if contamination is suspected or if foreign matter is present and unable to be extracted without contamination.
