20 CAR § 172-108 – Public health or medical crisis

(a) In the case of a medical or public health crisis, each breast milk bank is responsible for having a disaster plan covering emergencies affecting its individual breast milk bank.
(b) These plans should include:
1. (1) How to protect breast milk in case of power outage; and
2. (2) Notification plans for staff, community, and other breast milk banks or affected entities in case of inability to dispense or receive breast milk.
