- (a) The bite of any warm-blooded animal in Arkansas may be a potential source of rabies.
(b)
- (1) An animal bite exposure to a human requires the immediate attention of a physician who must decide whether antirabies treatment is indicated.
- (2) If so, the most effective treatment for the type of exposure must be administered.
- (c) The Department of Health is available for consultation and risk assessment of animal bites.
