20 CAR § 80-103 – Public information and education

(a) Purpose.
1. (1) Trauma is a preventable disease.
2. (2) Therefore, public information and education are important components of the Arkansas Trauma System.
3. (3) The Trauma and IVP Sections shall provide easily accessible public information and actively promote and encourage trauma system and IVP education throughout Arkansas.
(b) Information and resources. The Trauma and IVP Sections shall utilize the Department of Health website and other appropriate means to provide public information and resources, post notices, and reference other documents and information relevant to trauma system and IVP providers.
(c) Trauma center standards for public education and IVP. It shall be the responsibility of all designated trauma centers to implement public information and IVP programs as outlined in 20 CAR § 80-501 et seq.
(d) No hospital may represent itself as an Arkansas-designated trauma center or advertise its expertise in the care of injured patients without a certificate of trauma center designation from the department.
