(a)
- (1) This part has been prepared for the purpose of establishing criteria for minimum standards for the certification of facilities for in vitro fertilization in Arkansas.
- (2) By necessity, they are of regulatory nature, but are considered to be practical minimum design and operation standards for these facilities.
- (3) These standards are not static and are subject to periodic revisions in the future as new knowledge and changes in procedure trends become apparent.
(b) However, it is expected that facilities will:
- (1) Exceed these minimum requirements; and
- (2) Not be dependent upon future revisions in these standards as a necessary prerequisite for improved services.
