- (a) Certificates of birth filed after ten (10) days but within one (1) year from date of birth shall be registered on the standard live birth certificate as prescribed in Arkansas Code § 20-18-401.
(b)
- (1) Certificates of birth filed after one (1) year but within four (4) years from the date of birth shall be registered on the standard live birth certificate form in the manner prescribed in Acts 1995, No. 1254, § 16.
- (2) Such certificates shall be marked “delayed”.
(c)
- (1) In any case where the certificate is signed by someone other than the attendant or person in charge of the institution where the birth occurred, a notarized statement setting forth the reason may be required by the State Registrar of Vital Records.
- (2) The state registrar may require additional evidence in support of the facts of birth and/or an explanation for the delay in filing.
