(a)

1. (1) All wood including stumps, roots, and other cellulose debris which can be caught by a rake on the surface of the ground must be removed from underneath the building.
2. (2) Large stumps that are impractical to remove may be trenched, drilled, or rodded and treated provided they are not in contact with or within five inches (5”) of the building’s substructure timbers.

(b)

1. (1) All unnecessary form boards and grade stakes must be removed from underneath and around the outside of the building.
2. (2) Grade stakes embedded in the foundation footing which are impractical to remove should be cut off flush with the concrete and treated as per label directions with chemical.
