2 CAR § 34-1603 – Instructions and procedures

(a) The initial planting for production of foundation vegetatively propagated turfgrasses will be in rows not less than twelve inches (12”) apart.
(b) All planting, mowing, harvesting, and loading equipment must be thoroughly cleaned prior to entering the field.
(c) An official numbered certificate will accompany each shipment of certified:
1. (1) Sprigs;
2. (2) Sod; or
3. (3) Plugs.
(d)
1. (1) A complete record on the amount of certified turf sales will be maintained and made available to the official certifying agency.
2. (2) The record will include:
  1. (A) Class of certified turf sold (foundation, registered, or certified);
  2. (B) Kind and variety;
  3. (C) Field number;
  4. (D) Date of harvest; and
  5. (E) Amount of turf shipped (square feet, cubic feet, bushels, etc.).
