2 CAR § 34-1503 – Field standards

(a) Isolation.
1. (1) All fields for certification must have twenty-five (25) rods isolation distance from:
  1. (A) Fields of another variety of the same species; or
  2. (B) Fields of the same variety that do not meet the varietal purity requirements for certification.
2. (2) The isolation distance between classes of the same variety may be reduced to ten feet (10’), regardless of class or size of field.
(b) Field inspection.

1. (1) Objectionable noxious weeds shall include:
  1. (A) Field bindweed;
  2. (B) Wild onion or wild garlic;
  3. (C) Balloon vine;
  4. (D) Serrated tussock;
  5. (E) Itchgrass; and
  6. (F) Tropical soda apple.
2. (2) Note. Only a small amount of Johnson grass in the field will be permitted.
