- (a) No uncertified broodstock can be used, an existing requirement of the certification program.
- (b) Broodstock must be inspected for Gambusia.
- (c) Broodstock cannot be used if Gambusia are present.
- (d) Gambusia-free broodstock can be hand-selected from mixed fish populations.
- (e) When fish are hatched in tanks, egg mats must be thoroughly disinfected by treatments with fifty to one hundred parts per million (50-100 ppm) iodine or five hundred to one thousand parts per million (500-1000 ppm) formalin prior to hatch and fry transfer.
