17 CAR § 210-1301
(a) An electrical inspector of the Department of Labor and Licensing may require electrical work to be exposed for inspection, including the removal of sheetrock or other finish material applied to walls, floors, or ceilings in the following circumstances:
(2)
(i) Open conductors or unapproved raceways;
(ii) Open splices not in approved boxes;
(iii) Cables not protected from physical damage;
(b) Any property damage caused in order to expose electrical work for inspection or in order to correct violations of the minimum standards established by Subpart 6 of this part, shall be repaired by the responsible electrician so that the property is in the same or equivalent status as before the correction or exposure.
