1. (a) Hereafter no extern, intern, or student of a pharmacy school shall be granted authority from the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy to practice pharmacy in Arkansas and serve any internship period in Arkansas unless he or she:

   1. (1) Is licensed with the board; and

   2. (2) Undergoes a criminal background check:

      1. (A) Pursuant to Subpart 31; and
      2. (B) Conducted by the:

2. (i) Division of Arkansas State Police; and

   1. (ii) Federal Bureau of Investigation.

3. (b) Applications for an intern’s license and for criminal background checks will be furnished by the board.

   1. (c) The applicant will be responsible for the payment of applicable fees for state and federal criminal background checks pursuant to written instructions provided by the board, and for applicable fees for an intern’s license to the board.
