- (a) It is the intent of the Arkansas State Medical Board to provide the Centralized Credentials Verification Advisory Committee maximum input into policies concerning the operation of the Centralized Credentials Verification Service.
(b) Policies will be developed and adopted concerning:
(1)
- (A) Fees to be charged for use of the service.
- (B) Fees will be based on costs of operating the service, and the costs shall be shared pursuant to Acts 1999, No. 1410;
(2)
- (A) Availability of the service.
- (B) Availability includes:
(i) Time required to gain access;
(ii) Time allowed in the system; and
- (iii) Geographic availability;
(3) Accessibility and security of the service:
- (A) Release of information from physicians;
- (B) Approval for users to gain access; and
- (C) Password identification requirements;
(4)
- (A) Audit privileges for records maintained by the board.
- (B) The committee will represent all users and will perform periodic audits in accordance with established procedure (Policy for Audits, Policy No. 95-4) to ensure the integrity of board processes and information available;
- (5) Contract format development for subscribers who use the service; and
(6) Other policies as needed for operation of the service.
- (c) Approvals.
- (1) A quorum (fifty percent (50%) of the committee) must be present to approve changes in policies or other actions.
- (2) Proxies may be given to other committee members voting.
- (3) A majority of voting members will be considered sufficient to provide a recommendation to the board for implementation.
