(a)

1. (1) The Arkansas State Board of Nursing shall be authorized to issue a nonrenewable temporary permit for a period not exceeding six (6) months.
2. (2) This temporary permit shall be issued only to those applicants who meet all other qualifications for licensure by the board.

(b) The temporary permit shall immediately become invalid upon:

1. (1) Receipt of information obtained from the state or federal criminal background check indicating any offense listed in Arkansas Code § 17-3-102; or
2. (2) Notification to the applicant or board of results on the first licensure examination he or she is eligible to take after the permit is issued.
