(a)
- (1) The Arkansas State Board of Nursing shall be authorized to issue a nonrenewable temporary permit for a period not exceeding six (6) months.
- (2) This temporary permit shall be issued only to those applicants who meet all other qualifications for licensure by the board.
(b) The temporary permit shall immediately become invalid upon:
- (1) Receipt of information obtained from the state or federal criminal background check indicating any offense listed in Arkansas Code § 17-3-102; or
- (2) Notification to the applicant or board of results on the first licensure examination he or she is eligible to take after the permit is issued.
- (c) Falsification of the applicant’s criminal record history shall be grounds for disciplinary action by the board.
