As used in this part:

1. (1) “General supervision” means the dentist authorizes the procedures but is not required to be present in the treatment facility while the procedures are being performed by the dental hygienist;

2. (2) “Indirect supervision” means the dentist:

   1. (A) Authorizes the procedures; and
   2. (B) Remains in the treatment facility while the procedures are being performed; and

3. (3) “Operative supervision” means the dentist:

   1. (A) Authorizes the procedures;
   2. (B) Remains in the operatory while the procedures are being performed; and
   3. (C) Evaluates the results prior to leaving the operatory.
