(a)
- (1) Applicants have up to an eighteen-month grace period to practice psychology under qualified supervision beginning with notification of provisional licensure status.
- (2) The period allows an applicant to complete the written and oral examinations and obtain licensure while involved in supervised practice in the profession of psychology.
- (3) The provisional licensure status shall not be renewed beyond a period of three (3) years.
- (4) Any provisionally licensed applicant who does not pass the examination within three (3) years may not continue to practice psychology under supervision.
(5) Any individual who continues to practice psychology beyond the approved three-year period:
- (A) Is in violation of Arkansas Code § 17-97-101 et seq.; and
- (B) May be subject to appropriate legal action.
- (b) A provisional license issued to a psychology intern participating in an American Psychological Association-accredited predoctoral internship program shall only be valid while the intern is an active participant in the program.
