Pursuant to Arkansas Code § 17-97-101 et seq., the Arkansas Psychology Board may suspend, refuse, or revoke a license for a period to be determined by the board, may impose a fine of up to five thousand dollars ($5,000), may issue a letter of reprimand, and/or may require additional hours of education of a licensee on the following grounds:
- (1) Fraud or deception were employed in applying for a license or in passing the examination or examinations provided for in Arkansas Code § 17-97-101 et seq.;
- (2) Conviction of an offense as stated in Arkansas Code § 17-97-302(a);
- (3) The practice of psychology under a false or assumed name or the impersonation of another practitioner of a like or different name;
- (4) Substance abuse to such an extent as to incapacitate him or her from the performance of his or her duties;
- (5) Violation of the Arkansas Medical Practices Act, Arkansas Code § 17-95-201 et seq., § 17-95-301 et seq., and § 17-95-401 et seq.;
- (6) Practice of a level of psychology inappropriate to the license held by the licentiate;
(7) Negligent or wrongful actions in the performance of his or her duties such as, but not limited to:
- (A) Violation of standards of supervision; or
- (B) Providing services outside of qualifications to practice;
- (8) Violations of the current ethical code;
- (9) Violations of Arkansas Code § 17-97-101 et seq., or this part;
- (10) Disciplinary action taken by a Distant or Receiving State against an Arkansas Home State licensee under provisions of Psypact; or
- (11) Revocation of the E.Passport under Psypact.
