(a) Application.
(1) Professional engineer:
- (A) Original, seventy-five dollars ($75.00);
- (B) Comity, two hundred dollars ($200); and
- (C) Engineer intern, fifty dollars ($50.00).
(2) Professional surveyor:
- (A) Original, seventy-five dollars ($75.00);
- (B) Comity, two hundred dollars ($200); and
- (C) Surveyor intern, fifty dollars ($50.00).
- (3) Certificate of authorization, one hundred fifty dollars ($150).
(4) Fee waiver.
- (A) Pursuant to Acts 2021, No. 725, an applicant may receive a waiver of the initial licensure fee, if eligible.
- (B) Eligible applicants are applicants who:
- (i) Are receiving assistance through the:
- (a) (a) Arkansas, or current state of residence equivalent, Medicaid Program;
- (b) (b) Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program;
- (c) (c) Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children;
- (d) (d) Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Program; or
(e) (e) Lifeline Assistance Program;
(ii) Were approved for unemployment within the last twelve (12) months; or
- (iii) Have an income that does not exceed two hundred percent (200%) of the federal poverty income guidelines.
(C) Applicants shall provide documentation showing their receipt of benefits from the appropriate state agency:
- (i) For Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Program, or Lifeline Assistance Program, documentation from the Department of Human Services or current state of residence equivalent agency;
- (ii) For unemployment benefits approval in the last twelve (12) months, the Division of Workforce Services or current state of residence equivalent agency; or
- (iii) For proof of income, copies of all United States Internal Revenue Service forms indicating applicant’s total personal income for the most recent tax year, e.g., W-2, 1099, etc.
- (D) Applicants shall attest that the documentation provided under subdivision (a)(4)(C) of this section is a true and correct copy, and fraudulent or fraudulently obtained documentation shall be grounds for denial or revocation of license.
(b) Examination fees.
(1) Arkansas state-specific surveying examination.
(A)
- (i) Fees for the Arkansas state-specific surveying examination shall be paid to the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors.
- (ii) Applicants and/or examinees approved by the board, but who cancel or postpone a scheduled exam administration fifteen (15) or more days prior to the date of the exam shall be charged a fee of fifty percent (50%) of the exam fee amount and be credited the remainder for the next exam administration.
- (iii) The fee for cancelling or postponing an examination less than fifteen (15) days prior to the exam or failing to appear or complete an examination after being admitted to the examination room for any reason shall be one hundred percent (100%) of the exam fee amount.
- (B) Arkansas state-specific surveying examination, one hundred dollars ($100).

- (A) Fees for examinations developed and administered by NCEES shall be paid to NCEES at the amounts established by that organization.
- (B) Payments shall be in accordance with any procedures and policies established by NCEES, and any credits, refunds, cancellations, postponements, or any other action or request shall also be in accordance with NCEES policies and procedures.
