- (a) Engineer and surveyor intern. Any intern licensee who meets the requirements of Arkansas Code § 17-1-107 shall be reinstated administratively by paying the appropriate fees and penalties as provided in 17 CAR § 285-403(b).
(b) Professional engineers and surveyors.
- (1) Any licensee whose license has been on inactive status or nonrenewed may apply in writing for reinstatement.
(2) Inactive license holders seeking reinstatement shall submit:
- (A) A written request;
- (B) Proof of fifteen (15) hours per year of continuing professional competency training, not to exceed a total of thirty (30) hours; and
- (C) Pay a fee as prescribed in 17 CAR § 285-403(c).
(3) Those seeking to be reinstated for nonrenewing a license may do so in one (1) of the following three (3) ways:
- (A) Licensees who have been nonrenewed for two (2) years or less may be reinstated administratively by paying the appropriate fees and penalties as provided in 17 CAR § 285-403(b);
- (B) Licensees who have been nonrenewed for more than two (2) years but can demonstrate continuous active registration in another jurisdiction with no disciplinary actions during that period can be reinstated conditionally by the Director of the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors subject to later ratification by the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors by submission of:
(i) A completed application for reinstatement covering all experience and/or activities subsequent to the date of licensure;
(ii) Proof of fifteen (15) hours per year of continuing professional competency training, not to exceed a total of thirty (30) hours; and
- (iii) Payment of a reinstatement fee and two (2) years renewal fees and late penalties as prescribed in 17 CAR § 285-403(c); or
(C) Licensees who have been nonrenewed for more than two (2) years and meet the requirements of Arkansas Code § 17-1-107 shall submit:
- (i) A completed application covering all experience and/or activities subsequent to the date of licensure;
- (ii) Five (5) references;
- (iii) Proof of fifteen (15) hours per year of continuing professional competency training, not to exceed a total of thirty (30) hours; and
- (iv) Payment of a reinstatement fee and the biennial renewal fees and late penalties as prescribed by 17 CAR § 285-403(c).
