(a)
- (1) The State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors shall keep a record of its proceedings and of all applications for licensure.
(2) All applications shall include:
- (A) The name, age, Social Security number, and address of each applicant;
- (B) The date of application;
- (C) The place of business of such applicant;
- (D) Education, experience, and other qualifications of such applicant;
- (E) The board’s decision concerning the applicant;
- (F) The date of the board’s actions;
- (G) The examination taken and the results; and
- (H) Such other information as the board deems necessary.
- (b) The board’s record shall be prima facie evidence of its proceedings and a transcript thereof, duly certified by the Director of the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors under seal, shall be admissible as evidence with the same force and effect of the original.
(c)
- (1) At its discretion, the board may send, accept, create, and retain any records, forms, applications, etc., either in written or electronic form or may convert written records to electronic records in a manner and format prescribed by the board, so long as they comply with the provisions of the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act, Arkansas Code § 25-32-101 et seq.
- (2) In addition, electronic signatures may be accepted in lieu of handwritten signatures so long as they comply with the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act and the electronic signature standard or any current standard developed by the Office of State Technology and/or the Department of Shared Administrative Services as provided for in Arkansas Code § 25-32-118(a)(2).
- (3) The board may specify the type or level and format of electronic signature that may be used.
