(a)
(1)
- (A) Prior to the filing of an application, and after the final Arkansas State Board of Architects, Landscape Architects, and Interior Designers action on an application, verbal and written communication with individual board members or any individual members of the board’s staff shall be freely permitted.
- (B) However, no member of the board or its staff is authorized to give any indication of what specific actions the board may take upon the merits of an application that may be filed.
- (C) Board members and staff may give general advice about:
(i) The manner of completing or submitting applications;
(ii) The procedures to be followed when processing applications; and
- (iii) The nature of the standards applied by the board in evaluating applications.
(2)
- (A) When an application for registration is pending before the board, no one shall initiate any written or oral communication with individual board members concerning the matter.
- (B) However, inquiries may be made, either orally or in writing, to the Executive Director or the board staff, or, in writing, to the board office.
(b)
- (1) Once a complaint has been filed or an enforcement action has been initiated against any individual or corporation, no person shall contact any board member to discuss the circumstances of the case.
(2)
- (A) No one shall initiate any written or oral communication with individual board members concerning the matter.
- (B) However, inquiries may be made, orally or in writing, to the Executive Director or board staff, or, in writing, to the board office.
