17 CAR § 70-807 – Written examination for licensure or registry

(a) The Arkansas Board of Dispensing Opticians adopts the National Practical Examination for registry or licensure.
(b) Examinations shall be conducted pursuant to the guidelines established by the national testing service.
(c) Applicants shall be examined in the areas of:
1. (1) Mechanical optics;
2. (2) Occupational vision requirements;
3. (3) Taking facial measurements for proper frame sizing;
4. (4) Ophthalmic lens type;
5. (5) Fitting and adjusting glasses to the face; and
6. (6) Any other areas deemed necessary by the board.
