17 CAR § 30-607 – Bodies awaiting final disposition

(a) All bodies awaiting final disposition shall be kept in an appropriate holding facility or preparation and embalming room.
(b) The holding facility must:
1. (1) Be secure from access by anyone except the authorized personnel of the funeral establishment;
2. (2) Preserve the dignity and integrity of the body; and
3. (3) Protect the health and safety of the personnel of the funeral establishment.
