1. (a)

   1. (1) The licensee or the licensee’s manager shall be required to successfully pass a written examination administered by the Division of Arkansas State Police.
   2. (2) The examination will test the licensee’s or licensee’s manager’s knowledge in fire protection and the proper use and placement of single-station fire and heat detectors pursuant to the Arkansas Fire Prevention Code, 12 CAR pt. 15, and NFPA.

2. (b) Alarm system agents, alarm system apprentices, and alarm system technicians for Class E-S are exempt from the requirements for:

   1. (1) NICET Level II;
   2. (2) ESA Level I;
   3. (3) NESA Level I; or
   4. (4) Elite CEU Level I.
