1. (a) Commissioned individuals must complete annual refresher training.
2. (b) Failure to complete refresher training will result in suspension of the credential.

3. (c)

   1. (1) CSOs are required to complete a minimum of twelve (12) hours of refresher training each year.
   2. (2) The refresher training shall include, but not be limited to:

4. (i) Firing range qualification on an ALETA qualification course; and

   1. (ii) A safety course.

   2. (1) CSSOs and security service contractors holding a CSSO credential are required to complete a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours of refresher training each year.

   3. (2) The refresher training shall include, but not be limited to the following:

      1. (A) Twelve (12) hours of firing range qualification and practice on an ALETA qualification course;

         1. (B) Four (4) hours of ALERRT Active Shooter refresher training; and
         2. (C) Eight (8) hours of simulated live-fire weapon training, such as:
      2. (i) Simunition;
      3. (ii) Paintball;
      4. (iii) Airsoft; or
      5. (iv) Other simulated weapons.

Codification Notes: “CSO” means commissioned security officer. "ALETA" means Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy. "CSSO" means commissioned school security officer. "ALERRT" means Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training.
