(a)
- (1) Application forms for classification as geologist-in-training are the same as those for registration as a geologist.
- (2) The applicant for geologist-in-training classification shall complete the entire application except for describing professional experience and shall not include professional references.
- (3) Upon completion of experience requirements at a later date, the applicant shall then notify the State Board of Registration for Professional Geologists.
- (4) He or she will be sent another application form upon which he or she may detail his or her professional geologic experience as required for registration as a professional geologist.
- (5) All reference letters as required in the application, except those pertaining to professional competence, should be forwarded for geologist-in-training classification.
- (6) Reference letters pertaining to professional competence shall be forwarded at such time as the applicant applies for registration as a professional geologist.
(b) Application for classification as a geologist-in-training shall be:
- (1) Filed on a form prescribed by the board;
- (2) Filed at the office of the board; and
- (3) Subscribed and certified under penalty of law.
(c) Examination.
- (1) Upon passing Part I (Fundamentals of Geology) of the ASBOG test in 17 CAR § 290-301, the applicant shall receive the geologist-in-training classification.
- (2) If the applicant has taken Part I of the ASBOG test prior to January 1, 1997 for registration in another state the board may accept the test score based on a completed application.
