For victims, as defined by Arkansas Code § 16-90-703(11), compensation is available for the following types of expenses:
(1)
- (A) Economic loss sustained by the victim or a dependent arising from the criminally injurious conduct of another.
- (B) Future economic loss is also compensable but may be reduced or discontinued if the recipient's circumstances change; and
(2)
- (A) Mental health expenses incurred as a result of the criminally injurious conduct of another.
- (B) Awards for mental health expenses, for any victim, shall be made in accordance with guidelines established by a committee of mental health professionals appointed by the Crime Victims Reparations Board.
