1. (a) Recognizing the need for, and benefit of, continuing education and developmental guidance for members of the KAB Affiliate Network in Arkansas, we propose to offer grants to certified affiliates in good standing to help defray expenses in attending the KAB affiliate training opportunities in Arkansas.

2. (b) The grants will be available for up to two (2) attendees representing an affiliate to pay for whatever training fees that might be involved, including:

   1. (1) Registration;
   2. (2) Meals; and
   3. (3) Supplies.

3. (c) Additionally, when the training schedule requires overnight travel by an attending affiliate member, reimbursement may be requested to cover the round-trip travel and lodging expenses:

   1. (1) Based on state allowances; and
   2. (2) Subject to funds availability.
4. (d) Funds will be approved only for those attending the conference, and reimbursement will be made in the name of the person or organization paying the registration fees upon presentation of a receipt for conference registration.
5. (e) Recommended fund allocation: six thousand dollars ($6,000) per year.
