- (a) The purpose of these standards is to set minimum accuracies for land boundary surveys and minimum requirements for research, investigation, monumentation, and plat preparation, and the subsequent recording and distribution of the plat upon completion of a survey.
- (b) Arkansas Code § 17-48-103 states “In order to safeguard the life, health, or property of the public, the practice of land surveying in this state is declared to be subject to regulation in the public interest.”
- (c) These standards will promote the public interest.
