- (a) Within five (5) working days after receipt of a petition from a person the Director of the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission finds eligible to receive an allocation of water, the director shall notify the affected persons by certified mail that a petition has been received by the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission requesting an allocation of water.
(b) This notice will advise the affected persons of the following:
- (1) Name of petitioner and substance of the petition; and
- (2) The affected person’s right to discuss the matter with the petitioner and the commission staff as an alternative to a hearing on mandatory allocation by the commission.
