(a) Districts shall immediately report any financial difficulty or irregularity to the Department of Agriculture, which shall:
- (1) Investigate; and
- (2) Offer assistance.
- (b) The department may also require additional financial reports or request an audit of the district books and accounts by Arkansas Legislative Audit.
