The Grants Selection Committee uses the following primary criteria to evaluate proposals:

1. (1) Degree of urgency and level of threat;
2. (2) Historic significance of property;
3. (3) Proposed use and local impact the project will have to the community;
4. (4) Evidence that the objectives of the project can be achieved within the timeframe set forth by the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program;
5. (5) Evidence that the budget is realistic and reasonable;
6. (6) Qualifications and experience of the applicant and contractors participating in the project;

   1. (A) Past performance of applicant on previous grant projects.
   2. (B) Applicant must be in good standing with the Division of Arkansas Heritage regarding all grants previously received from agencies of the division;
8. (8) Evidenced support of fund source for matching funds; and
9. (9) Completeness of application.
