(a) Each family of a Division of Arkansas State Police canine handler or division canine handler who is determined to be eligible to receive reimbursement under Rino's Law may receive payment of up to two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500) per year for the costs of:

1. (1) Food;
2. (2) Flea and tick infestation prevention; and
3. (3) Veterinarian bills.

(b) Those eligible to receive reimbursement may submit:

1. (1) Multiple requests for reimbursement throughout the year, but no later than thirty (30) days before the end of the fiscal year, up to two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500); or
2. (2) One (1) request for reimbursement thirty (30) days before the end of the fiscal year for bills that total two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500) combined.
