- (a) The Director of the Division of Arkansas State Police shall receive all applications for employment as officers and shall submit such list to the Arkansas State Police Commission for examination as to physical fitness and mental qualifications and for written examination.
- (b) The commission shall certify to the director within a reasonable time the names of all applicants who possess the necessary qualifications as determined by the commission.
- (c) The commission shall reduce to writing the reasons for finding any applicant who does not meet the necessary qualification for employment as an officer.
