12 CAR § 10-101 – Statement of organization and operations

(a) The Division of Arkansas State Police is an agency of state government created by Arkansas Code §§ 12-8-101 – 12-8-506.
(b) The division is created for the purpose of enforcing the motor vehicle laws, traffic laws, and other state laws relating to protecting and properly maintaining the state highway system of the State of Arkansas and to render more effective the apprehension of criminals and the enforcement of criminal law.

Codification Notes: Subsection (a) of this section references Arkansas Code §§ 12-8-101 – 12-8-506. The following referenced Arkansas Code sections have been repealed: Arkansas Code §§ 12-8-122, 12-8-123, 12-8-124, 12-8-206, 12-8-207, 12-8-208, 12-8-209, 12-8-211, 12-8-216, and 12-8-506.
